I’d like to thank Kerim at Savage Minds and Keywords for pointing me to the excellent blog - Knowledge Rules.

Knowledge Rules is a group blog drawing from a team of very experienced researchers and experts from the knowledge industry. The blog states ts purpose,

is to generate an informed discussion about the metrics involved in different forms of evaluations: editors, the academic book market, faculty hiring committees, tenure commissions, funding agencies or international rankings of universities all involve evaluative criteria and metrological scales that often remain implicit.
